New at sum.cumo - merging front-end and back-end into one development division
Two separate divisions - that was the previous organization of frontend and backend at sum.cumo. From now on, the two development sectors will be united in one Development Division. This change will also simplify further development, mutual strengthening and supplementation many times over in the future.
The formation of communities promotes the exchange of knowledge between teams as well as the achievement of goals for the entire Development Division. Interests or specialties are not crucial at first, because the communities are exclusively technology-driven, such as Ruby and RoR, CI/CD and DevOps, JS/TS and Browser. In order to better follow the corporate vision, the communities are guided by the goals of the respective division and set their own independent goals for achieving them. New aspects and ideas are always welcome in order to be able to identify potential and further develop the respective community topic.
For the optimal implementation and organization of this merger, a restructuring of the previous responsibilities must take place. From now on, these will be bundled into the competence areas "Strategy, Offer & Services", "Projects" and "Human Resources" as well as their respective ownerships.
The new structure
The structure of the new Development Division consists of Division Directors, Team Leads, Architects and Community Owners. The goal of the structure is to benefit from a faster and cross-functional exchange. Our agile, cross-functional teams, which work closely with the customer, remain in place and complete the concept. Competencies can thus be bundled even better and synergies can be used more efficiently. In this way, we are jointly able to contribute our professional qualifications in the best possible way, support each other, exchange ideas, track down potentials and challenges, and always keep track of relevant topics and the diversity of the community.
