Insurtech-Radar 2019 highlights sum.cumo as a successful scale-up

In its latest Insurtech Radar 2019, the team of the strategy consultancy Oliver Wyman together with Policen Direct particularly highlights 20 German companies in the insurance industry. Through cooperation with established insurers, sales organisations and other insurtechs, several start-ups have now crystallized into so-called scale-ups, including sum.cumo, which cooperates with insurance groups such as Ergo, Die Bayerische and Dextra in Switzerland. According to Oliver Wyman's team, these scale-ups are characterised by the fact that they are now getting traction, are growing at an above-average rate in Germany and in some cases have already reached a veritable size. They, including sum.cumo, are driving the market forward in their business areas.

sum.cumo stands in the Insurtech radar as a single scale-up for the optimization of business processes.

The Insurtech radar examines, among other things, Insurtechs that find new ways to optimize business processes in the insurance industry. Software solutions are often offered together with customization and integration services from original Insurtechs who are up to 50 years old. The nine-year-old sum.cumo GmbH is highlighted by Oliver Wyman as the only scale-up to follow in the footsteps of the original Insurtechs. sum.cumo successfully seizes the multitude of opportunities offered by the market.
