"freeyou Car" and "freeyou Bike" - Ready to Go

Another Customer relies on the sum.cumo Insurance Platform SCIP

In close cooperation with sum.cumo, the team from freeyou in cooperation with GAV Versicherungs-AG relaunched its bicycle and e-bike insurance and shortly afterwards launched a purely digital car insurance.

After a few months of conception and development, the bicycle insurance appeared in August as the first product of a new insurance platform from freeyou in new splendour. This was followed almost three months later by digital car insurance freeyou Car. sum.cumo has been able to win freeyou as another customer for its core system SCIP (sum.cumo Insurance Platform).

Bike insurance counts among the leading products on the online market

With the relaunch of the bike insurance, it will be possible for the end customer to conclude a high-quality product based on very good usability even faster and easier. Thanks to paperless administration, transparent communication and in combination with small, smart additional tools, insurance is one of the most attractive offers for bicycle owners on the market.

Car insurance that makes it easy

The new automotive insurance, too, spares customers the usual incomprehensible insurance gibberish. In addition to digital processes, freeyou also banks on maintaining proximity to customers. Initially, the auto insurance policy will be available exclusively on the review portal Check24; completion of a proprietary application procedure is planned for spring of 2020.

sum.cumo, an all-round tech partner

In addition to providing comprehensive consulting services, sum.cumo's task was to rework the user-friendliness and the visual design of the online platform. This formed the basis for developing a new front end that communicates with the SCIP back end via high-capacity APIs. For the relaunch, sum.cumo was on hand as an all-round tech partner.

SCIP as a foundation for technological innovation

By now, the sum.cumo Insurance Platform is used by insurers and underwriting agents in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The platform enables highly automated back-office processes, supports modern front ends, and is built entirely on internet technologies and architectures. All the internal data on customers, contracts, products, claims and sales partners is available in real time. It also allows external data sources to be integrated into the system as needed.
